Master of Science (Environmental Science)
Environmental Science applies scientific principles to understanding and managing the natural and built environment. Students of the Environmental Science program learn about global changes that are occurring in the environment, the science underpinning that understanding, how continuing and novel changes can be detected, and how these changes can be managed.
Students will acquire the analytical techniques employed in environmental science, and through project work, will have the opportunity to draw on the skills and experience of leading university and industry environmental scientists.
Course structure
Delivery mode and duration
This is a 2 year full-time course, and is available part-time. All program subjects are delivered on-campus (Parkville).
Entry requirements
A Bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline with at least H3 (65%) in the major or equivalent. As part of their degree studies, applicants must have completed at least one quarter of a full-time year of study in one of the following areas:
- Biology; OR
- Chemistry; OR
- Earth Sciences
